The religion of the Egyptians was that they believed in gods and goddesses and they believed in a lot of them.  They believed in gods that would keep the world in order.  Which means that they believe in gods that make the Nile flood and control the sun and everything like that.  Some of the gods names like Osiris, Anubis, Horus and many others.         

The Egyptians made their stories of the gods from all the animals that lived in Egypt
