STEP ONE: SELECT a topic

1. What is the problem or assigned subject?
What are the possible issues and topics?

Brainstorm for ideas. When you brainstorm, you should record all the ideas that come into your head. You can do this as a written list, or with pictures, or using a graphic organizer. You can see an example of a graphic organizer at http://www.graphic.org/brainst.html

2. After brainstorming, choose one topic from your list.
